Valkiria Hub Space, the official headquarters of the European Young Innovators Foundation (EYIF), will be the venue for the event on Monday, June 29, which will be attended by Nicholas Zylberglajt, co-founder of the foundation, and Fadi Bishara, Silicon Valley entrepreneur and CEO of Blackbox.
On June 26th begins this European Innovation Week, which, during four days and in five cities, offers a series of events to show the current reality of innovation in Europe, focusing on the particularity of each of the chosen cities: Barcelona, London, Athens, Cluj and Warsaw.
In the case of Barcelona, the main focus will be on internationalization, a key issue for any startup in the process of expansion.
In addition to this celebration, Valkiria Hub Space and the EYIF foundation are organizing a
specific workshop for startups looking for funding
. This workshop will take place on Thursday, July 9 and is an eminently practical process where participants will learn all the ins and outs of how to successfully apply for Horizon 2020 grants, the European Union’s plan to provide non-refundable funding for various innovative projects. In the last 10 months, some 100 Spanish startups have benefited from these grants, which range from 50,000 to 2.5 million euros.
EYIF, a non-profit organization with around 500,000 members in 13 European countries, is supported by institutions such as the European Parliament and the European Commission, the World Economic Forum, the U.S. State Department and organizations such as Facebook, Microsoft, IBM and Deloitte.
